A journalist in Kuwait has been taken into custody after posting a video of a crashed US fighter jet.
According to a US broadcaster, Kuwaiti journalist Ahmed Shehab was detained after sharing footage six weeks ago showing a US military aircraft that had crashed in Kuwait City.
The Committee to Protect Journalists stated that the journalist faces charges of spreading false information and harming national security.

In its statement, the organisation described the accusations as vague and broad, warning that such charges are often used to silence independent journalists.
