QUETTA: Two members of the Hazara community were killed and three others seriously injured in a shooting in the Hazar Ganji area of Quetta on Saturday, local sources reported.
According to reports gathered by MM News from multiple sources, the victims were vegetable vendors en route to buy supplies when unidentified attackers opened fire and fled the scene. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital; authorities have not yet released their identities or the condition of the survivors.
Local police arrived after the attack and have launched an investigation. No arrests have been announced and officials provided no immediate motive for the shooting.
Community leaders condemned the incident and called for a swift and transparent probe to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Security in Quetta’s Hazara neighborhoods has long been a concern for residents and rights groups.
