The Pakistani rupee posted a slight gain on Thursday, appreciating by 0.01% against the US dollar in the inter-bank market.
By the end of trading, the currency settled at 279.02, improving by Re0.03 compared to the previous close of 279.05 on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the US dollar steadied in early Thursday trading after experiencing broad declines. The dollar index, which tracks the greenback against a basket of major currencies including the yen and the euro, edged up 0.03% to 99.09, while the euro slipped 0.07% to $1.1654.
