The Government of Balochistan has stepped up enforcement of its austerity measures, seizing an official vehicle from an officer of the Livestock and Dairy Development Department Balochistan for violating government directives.
According to official sources, the action was taken after the officer failed to comply with instructions issued under the austerity policy introduced by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.
Authorities have also sought an explanation from the District Officer Livestock Quetta over the breach of the chief minister’s orders. The move signals a stricter approach by the provincial government to ensure adherence to cost-cutting measures.

In line with the directives, the officer has been ordered to deposit the official vehicle in the departmental pool. A formal notification in this regard has been issued by the Livestock and Dairy Development Department.
Officials said the government remains committed to enforcing financial discipline across departments and will take action against any violations of austerity policies.
