Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has said that the Pakistan Super League has emerged as a highly attractive market for investment and expressed confidence that it will soon become the world’s number one cricket league.
The 82nd meeting of the PCB Board of Governors was held under his chairmanship, during which the audited financial statements for the fiscal year 2024–25 were formally approved.
The meeting was attended by board members Anwar Ahmed Ghani, Tariq Sarwar, Adnan Malik, Sajjad Khokhar, Zafarullah and Ismail Qureshi, while Zaheer Abbas and the Cabinet Secretary joined online.
The board also approved procedural rules in line with the ICC Global Anti-Corruption Code. In addition, approval was granted to explore cooperation with the Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation for the development of a cricket stadium in Jeddah.
Revisions to Lahore’s cricket zones, including boundary reorganisation and renaming, were also endorsed.
During the meeting, the Board of Governors appreciated the contributions of Abdullah Khurram Niazi for his efforts in promoting domestic cricket.
The chairman noted that over the past two years, he had worked tirelessly for the development of the domestic structure.
The board also acknowledged the record team auction for PSL 11.
