A fire broke out at the Finance and Trade Centre located on Shahrah-e-Faisal.
According to media reports, fire brigade vehicles were dispatched immediately after the incident was reported. A fire officer stated that three fire tenders and one snorkel were sent in the initial response.
Rescue officials said the fire erupted in an office on the first floor of the building, which has more than 10 storeys. Following the outbreak, occupants were promptly evacuated.
Fire brigade authorities confirmed that the blaze has largely been brought under control.
The fire affected a gym within the building and caused damage to several offices.
Rescue officials added that heavy smoke inside the building created difficulties during the operation, while the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
