Pakistan has been declared a threat by the United States, along with four other countries that pose a major risk. The Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, warned that Islamabad is allegedly developing missile capabilities that could potentially reach American territory.
While testifying before the Senate Intelligence Committee, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard stated that the US intelligence community believes Pakistan, alongside Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran, is developing a variety of missile delivery systems capable of carrying both conventional and nuclear payloads.
She told lawmakers that these countries are pursuing “novel, advanced, and traditional missile technologies” that could potentially bring the US homeland within striking range.
The assessment also alleged that Pakistan may be working on intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) capabilities, though no additional technical details were publicly shared.
US officials identified China and Russia as the most immediate and significant threats, pointing to their progress in advanced defense systems that could challenge American security. China was also noted as a key competitor in artificial intelligence, further heightening strategic tensions.
