A Pakistani citizen lost their life in the United Arab Emirates after being struck by debris from a ballistic missile that had been intercepted, authorities reported on Tuesday.
The Abu Dhabi Media Office said on X that officials in Abu Dhabi “responded to an incident involving falling debris in the Baniyas area, following the interception of a ballistic missile by air defence systems. The incident resulted in the death of a Pakistani national.”

Separately, the UAE Ministry of Defence confirmed that its air defence systems were “responding to incoming missiles and drone attacks originating from Iran.”
In response to ongoing threats, the Dubai Media Office has released a public safety advisory for residents.
Earlier, on March 8, a Pakistani driver was killed when debris from an aerial interception struck a vehicle in Dubai’s Al Barsha area.
