LAHORE: Pakistan’s biggest online automotive marketplace has once again landed in controversy, this time over accusations of underpaying young student content creators. A leaked clip from what appears to be a Forman Christian College event shows students confronting the platform’s owner after being offered only fifteen thousand rupees for a collaboration. The students called the amount insulting and accused him of making grand promises while offering “batain aasmano ki, dukan pakoron ki.”
The video quickly spread online, sparking heated debate. Many sided with the students, arguing that a wealthy and influential figure should not pay “peanuts” for creative work. Others dismissed the outrage, saying that if the offer was too low, the students could simply walk away.

This uproar comes on the heels of earlier controversies. In December 2025, a podcast clip went viral in which the owner invoked his father’s military service at the border, a remark widely criticized as elitist and tone-deaf. The backlash was intense, with accusations of flaunting privilege and calls for boycotts, though some defended him as merely expressing pride in his family’s service.
The car community still remembers the 2023 drama involving YouTuber Ducky Bhai, who bought a luxury Audi from the same owner. When Ducky later struggled with the costs and sought a buyback, the refusal fueled chatter about “beopaari” tactics and unfair dealings.
His open support for PML-N has also made him a frequent target of political criticism, with detractors labeling him “Patwari.” Across these episodes, a pattern emerges: his high-profile presence and outspoken style keep him in the spotlight, but also make him a lightning rod for backlash. The latest clash over student pay has reignited debates about privilege, fair compensation, and the ethics of influencer collaborations in Pakistan’s digital economy.
