Bangladesh has set Pakistan a challenging target of 291 runs in the third and final One Day International (ODI) of the three-match series in Dhaka.
Batting first at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur, the hosts posted 290/5 in 50 overs, putting pressure on Pakistan in the decisive encounter. With the series currently tied 1–1, the final match will determine which team claims the series.
Captain Shaheen Afridi said that two players, Shamail Hussain and Hussain Talat, could not participate in the match due to injuries. In their place, two new players, Ghazi Ghori and Saad Masood, have been given the opportunity to make their debut for the national team.
Three changes have been made to the Pakistan team for today’s match. Ghazi Ghori and Saad Masood are playing their debut match for Pakistan. The debuting players were also presented with their caps: Haris Rauf presented the debut cap to Saad Masood, while Mohammad Rizwan presented the debut cap to Ghazi Ghori.
Hussain Talat has been ruled out of the match due to injury, while Shamail Hussain has also been dropped for today’s match. Additionally, Abrar Ahmed has been included in the team in place of Mohammad Wasim.
It should be noted that in the first ODI, Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by 8 wickets, while in the second ODI, Pakistan bounced back strongly and defeated the Bengal Tigers by a huge margin of 128 runs to avenge their loss.
