Suha Suleman Lalani, co-founder of PinkDetect, has been named to Inc. Magazine’s Female Founders 500 list for 2026, a recognition celebrating some of the world’s most influential women entrepreneurs.
At just 25, the Karachi-born innovator joins a prestigious group of global changemakers, including Serena Williams, Emma Grede, and Michelle Zatlyn.
Founded three years ago, PinkDetect uses artificial intelligence to support early breast cancer detection through accessible, data-driven and culturally sensitive tools designed for underserved communities in Pakistan. The platform provides self-help breast examination guides, educational resources, a personal health dashboard and a clinic locator to help women find nearby screening facilities, improving access to timely care.
Lalani’s journey began in a university dorm room in Canada while she was studying biomedical sciences and researching cancer biology. Witnessing the high rate of late-stage breast cancer diagnoses in developing countries such as Pakistan, and experiencing the disease’s impact personally, motivated her to act.
She later developed a breast self-examination simulation with a classmate, which eventually evolved into PinkDetect.
Lalani is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health at Harvard University and previously worked as a Generative AI Specialist at Microsoft in healthcare and life sciences.
