ABU DHABI: The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi has announced the temporary suspension of in-person consular services effective Wednesday, citing “evolving regional situation“, March 4, 2026.
In a statement posted on social media, the mission emphasized that the measure was aimed at safeguarding the well-being of community members and staff. The Embassy clarified that services would remain suspended until further notice, while an online registration portal has been launched to ensure Pakistani nationals in the UAE can stay connected during emergencies.

The suspension comes amid heightened regional tensions following Iranian missile and drone strikes on US bases across Arab and GCC states, including the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Dubai early Wednesday morning. The strike, which damaged parts of the consulate compound, underscored the vulnerability of diplomatic missions and prompted UAE authorities to issue precautionary advisories urging remote work and avoidance of public spaces.

The statement by Pak Embassy further states “this temporary measure has been taken in the interest of the safety and well-being of community members and Embassy staff alike.
