A domestic worker has allegedly fled with jewellery and watches worth Rs8 million from a house in the Nishtar Colony area of Lahore.
According to police, the worker and her sister had arrived for their first day of work when they reportedly stole 11 tolas of gold jewellery and five valuable watches before escaping.
The worker had been hired on the recommendation of the household gardener, who has since been taken into custody.

Police said the incident occurred on 27 February. A case has been registered and efforts are under way to trace and arrest the suspects.
