Gold rates in Pakistan held firm, with the price of 24-karat gold per tola unchanged at Rs540,562 in the local market.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold saw no variation and was traded at Rs463,444, according to figures released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
A day earlier, on Thursday, gold had settled at Rs540,562 per tola after declining by Rs700 during the session.

In the international market, gold prices were also steady at $5,178 per ounce, which includes a $20 premium.
In contrast, silver prices moved upward, gaining Rs270 to close at Rs9,474 per tola.
