The Government of Sindh is preparing to introduce a comprehensive Youth Card initiative aimed at expanding opportunities and participation for young people across the province.
According to officials, the card will serve as an integrated access platform for multiple facilities, including education support, technical and vocational training, scholarships, stipends, employment assistance, and sports programs. Authorities say the program is designed to address both economic and social challenges faced by young citizens.
The project is currently being finalized at the Sindh Secretariat under the supervision of Provincial Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Mahar, following special directives from Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party.
Officials involved in the planning process describe the Youth Card as a centralized system that will connect young people to government schemes through a single identification mechanism, reducing paperwork and improving transparency in the distribution of benefits.
The initiative is expected to be launched before June 2026. If implemented as planned, policymakers believe it could significantly improve youth engagement in education, employment, and sports activities, while also strengthening long-term human development in the province.
