Well-known religious scholar and YouTuber Muhammad Ali Mirza was reportedly the target of an attempted attack at Jhelum Academy.
According to the academy administration, the assailant appeared to have entered the premises under the pretext of attending a lecture. Shortly after gaining entry, he allegedly tried to attack Mr Mirza. However, he remained unharmed, and the suspect was swiftly apprehended.
Initial investigations have identified the suspect as Muhammad Asim, said to be from Abbottabad and working in the Sadiqabad area of Rawalpindi.

Reports indicate that the incident occurred earlier in the afternoon. After delivering his weekly lecture at Jhelum Academy, Mr Mirza was taking photographs with attendees when a man, reportedly affiliated with a religious organisation, attempted to assault him. Security guards intervened promptly, restraining the suspect before handing him over to police.
