A mother, father, and their son were killed, while a woman was critically injured in a shooting incident in Karachi’s Musharraf Colony.
Police said the injured woman had been visiting the house as a guest. The shooting took place at approximately 6:30am, and initial investigations suggest the attack appears to be the result of a personal dispute.
Authorities identified the deceased as Abid, his wife, and their 20-year-old son. Abid worked as a driver and was reportedly a resident of Mansehra.
Abid’s sister-in-law, Fatima, was seriously injured in the incident and was shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.
According to police, in her initial statement, Fatima alleged that Abid’s co-brother Danish entered the house and opened fire.
She said that Danish had come to Abid’s house at around 3:00am, while the shooting occurred early in the morning.
Police further said that Abid’s daughter is currently with Danish, and a dispute between the two men over the girl had been ongoing. Residents of the neighborhood also told police that the suspect fled from Abid’s house after carrying out the attack.
Authorities confirmed that Fatima’s statement has been recorded and investigations are underway to determine whether anyone else was involved in the crime along with Danish.
Police have collected evidence from the crime scene and are conducting raids to arrest the suspect.
