The biggest clash of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 — the Pakistan vs India Group A match scheduled for Sunday, 15 February in Colombo — is under threat from rain, heightening uncertainty around the high-voltage fixture.
According to weather reports, there is a 50 per cent chance of rain and thunderstorms in Colombo on match day.
Meteorological forecasts indicate cloud cover with possible rain and lightning during the afternoon, and around 2.1 mm of rain is predicted near 6 pm.
If the match is washed out due to rain, both Pakistan and India will be awarded one point each, as per tournament rules. Fans are hoping that the weather will clear and the marquee fixture goes ahead uninterrupted.
Pakistan currently leads Group A with 4 points after winning both of their opening matches in the T20 World Cup.
