The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released details of its negotiations with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
According to an ICC statement, Bangladesh will not face any fine for not participating in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.
The ICC also confirmed that Bangladesh will be awarded hosting rights for an ICC event.

The statement added that the Bangladesh Cricket Board will host an ICC tournament between 2028 and 2031.
