Ducky Bhai formally charged in illegal gambling case

The legal battle for Pakistan’s most popular YouTuber, Saad Rehman (better known as Ducky Bhai), reached a critical milestone today, February 9, 2026.

A local court in Lahore formally charged Rehman and several co-accused for the alleged promotion of illegal online gambling and betting platforms.

In a packed courtroom, Judicial Magistrate Naeem Wattoo read out the formal charges against Rehman and his associates, including his wife, Aroob Jatoi.

All defendants, including the social media star, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Rehman’s legal team maintained that the allegations were baseless and part of a broader campaign of harassment against digital creators.

The case, originally registered by the National Cybercrime Investigation Agency (NCIA) in August 2025, centers on the promotion of international betting apps such as Binomo, 1xBet, and Bet 365.

The saga began on August 17, 2025, when Rehman was intercepted and arrested at Lahore Airport while attempting to board a flight to Malaysia.

Torture and Corruption
The case took a dramatic turn following Rehman’s release on bail by the Lahore High Court on November 26, 2025, after 100 days in custody.

Upon his release, Rehman filed counter-charges alleging that he was subjected to physical and mental torture during his detention. This sparked a separate high-stakes investigation that led to arrest of six NCCIA officers, including Additional Director Sarfraz Chaudhry in misuse of authority and attempting to extort large sums of money from the YouTuber in exchange for favorable treatment.
