Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has issued a stern condemnation of the recent terrorist attack in Islamabad, stating that those who shed the blood of Muslims for a few pennies possess neither faith nor religion.
During a press conference in Lahore, the minister expressed deep grief over the tragedy, remarking, “To call those responsible for the Islamabad incident ‘human’ is an insult to humanity itself.” He emphasized that the sole ideology of terrorists is to spread fear and chaos, regardless of religious sanctity.
Investigation Breakthroughs
The minister shared critical updates regarding the ongoing investigation.
The identity card of the suicide bomber has been recovered, and their photograph has been released to the public.
Investigations have confirmed that the suicide bomber had traveled to Afghanistan.
Authorities have identified the handlers involved in the plot. “They will be made an example of,” Tarar asserted.
National Security and Safety
Attaullah Tarar reiterated the government’s resolve to root out extremism.
He stated that the net is tightening around terror cells and the state will pursue them relentlessly until their total elimination.
Comprehensive measures are being taken to secure mosques, Imambargahs, and other religious centers across the country.
The minister highlighted the role of the “Message of Peace Committee,” which includes scholars from all sects as well as representatives from the Hindu, Christian, and Sikh communities to combat sectarianism and hatred.
Solidarity with Victims
Reflecting the somber mood of the nation, the minister noted that the entire country is in mourning. He assured that the best possible medical facilities are being provided to the injured in hospitals, adding, “We stand firmly with all the victims and will continue to do so.”
