Gird your loins! After 20 years of “glacial” anticipation, 20th Century Studios officially released the full-length trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2 today, February 2, 2026.
The footage confirms that while the industry has moved to digital, the shade remains purely analog.
The trailer, which premiered globally following a teaser at last night’s Grammy Awards, immediately sent the internet into a frenzy, leaning heavily into nostalgia with Madonna’s “Vogue” serving as the high-energy backtrack.
Eyebrows and Executive Power
The sequel appears to flip the script on the 2006 original, placing the characters in a high-stakes battle for the future of Runway magazine.
Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway) and Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt) meet face-to-face for the first time in two decades.
In a moment already going viral, Emily delivers a sharp, nostalgic jab: “You’ve changed… you’re much more confident. You kept those eyebrows, though, didn’t you?”
Meryl Streep returns as the formidable Miranda Priestly. She is first seen in a striking scarlet ensemble paired with red Maison Valentino pumps, a direct visual homage to the original film’s famous poster.
Andy is no longer the “clacker” fetching coffee; she is back at Runway as a features editor.
Meanwhile, Emily has become a high-powered executive for a luxury conglomerate, holding the advertising dollars Miranda desperately needs to keep the magazine afloat.
Stanley Tucci is back as Nigel, offering the trailer’s opening narration and a classic greeting to Andy: “Look what TJ Maxx dragged in.”
While the “Core Four” are back, the sequel expands the Runway universe with an impressive ensemble cast.
Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, Kenneth Branagh (playing Miranda’s husband), Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, and Lucy Liu.
David Frankel returns to the director’s chair, with original screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna penning the script.
The trailer has already broken records, following a teaser that reportedly became the most-viewed comedy preview in 15 years.
Fans can view the full footage now on the official 20th Century Studios YouTube and Instagram pages.
