An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad on Tuesday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Aleema Khan in connection with the 26 November protest case.
During the hearing, the court rejected Aleema Khan’s request for exemption from appearance and ordered her immediate arrest.
The judge directed law enforcement authorities to produce her before the court by Wednesday.
The court further ordered that Aleema Khan’s bank accounts and national identity card be blocked until her appearance in court.
Special Prosecutor Zaheer Shah argued that the accused could not dictate terms to the court, adding that her conduct since the outset of the case had been irresponsible.
Aleema Khan, the sister of former prime minister Imran Khan, is facing charges related to the Islamabad protest held on 26 November.
