The domestic gold market in Pakistan has experienced a significant downward shift today, Saturday, January 31, 2026, following a massive slump in international bullion rates.
This second consecutive day of losses has brought substantial relief to buyers but a “bloodbath” for investors who saw record highs earlier this month.
According to the latest data from the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price for 24-karat gold has dropped by Rs 25,500 per tola.

The bearish trend extended to the silver market and global benchmarks:
-
Silver 24Kt (per Tola): Now trading at Rs 9,006, marking a sharp decline of Rs 2,063.
-
International Gold: Prices dropped by $255, settling at $4,895 per ounce.
-
International Silver: Fell to $85.31, a decrease of $20.63.
Financial analysts suggest this crash is driven by a global correction and a strengthening US Dollar, which has pressured precious metals worldwide.
