Bulls continued to dominate at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) as the benchmark KSE-100 Index crossed the 188,000 level during early trading on Tuesday.
At 11:34am, the benchmark index was trading at 188,029.62, up 267.93 points or 0.14%.
Buying interest was seen across key sectors, including automobile assemblers, commercial banks, fertilizer, oil and gas exploration companies, OMCs, and refineries. Index-heavy stocks such as ARL, MARI, OGDC, POL, PSO, SNGPL, MCB, NBP, and UBL closed in the green.
On Monday, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) extended its rally, hitting another all-time high, supported by broad-based buying, optimism over stronger-than-expected corporate earnings, and rising expectations of a policy rate cut in the upcoming MPC meeting.
The KSE-100 Index surged 2,662.86 points (1.44%), closing at 187,761.69 points.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s efforts to lure foreign capital suffered a major setback in the first half of the current fiscal year, as overseas investment flows weakened sharply amid rising geopolitical tensions in the region. Foreign direct investment (FDI) fell by 43 per cent between July and December of FY26, raising concerns about the sustainability of external financing.
