Operational work on two Ships halted as fire erupted on Friday at a container terminal near West Wharf Road within the Karachi Port Trust (KPT) area.
Authorities launched a coordinated firefighting effort involving the Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC), Rescue 1122, Karachi Port Trust, and the Pakistan Navy to contain the blaze.

Chief Fire Officer Humayun Ahmad said that foam was being deployed alongside water to extinguish the fire, adding that three KMC fire tenders and a water bowser were actively engaged in the operation.
Fire officials said the affected container was carrying various types of goods.
No injuries or fatalities have been reported so far, while emergency teams remain on site to fully assess and secure the area.
