Former Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen has reacted in a distinctive manner to the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) decision to auction the PSL franchise.
The PCB had earlier announced that it would manage Multan Sultans itself during PSL 11. However, in a fresh development, the board has now decided to put the franchise up for sale.
On Wednesday, the PCB formally issued an advertisement inviting bids for the auction of Multan Sultans.
Following the announcement, Ali Tareen shared an unusual response on social media. Posting a photograph from his gym on X, he captioned it: “When you find out your ex is getting married again.”
The post quickly drew attention, with social media users sharing a range of humorous and witty reactions in the comments.

It is worth recalling that last year the PCB served a legal notice to Ali Tareen, accusing him of breaching contractual obligations and running a campaign that allegedly damaged the reputation of the Pakistan Super League.
Ali Tareen publicly tore up the legal notice and subsequently announced his withdrawal from the ownership of the Multan Sultans franchise.
