Gold prices in Pakistan surged to a record high on Monday with yellow metal climbing by Rs7,700 to reach Rs480,962 in the local market.
Likewise, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs6,602 to Rs412,347, according to rates released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Saturday, gold per tola had increased by Rs3,700 to settle at Rs473,262.
In the international market, gold prices jumped by $77 to $4,586 per ounce, including a $20 premium.
Meanwhile, silver prices also hit a new all-time high, rising by Rs430 to Rs8,895 per tola.
It should be noted that the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) releases official gold rates at around 1 PM from Monday to Saturday.
