Pakistan has officially included Germany in its list of dual nationality partner countries, allowing Pakistanis living in Germany to retain their Pakistani citizenship while acquiring German nationality.
As per details, the Embassy of Pakistan in Berlin announced that residents of Pakistani origin applying for German citizenship will no longer be required to renounce their Pakistani nationality.
Moreover, the embassy confirmed that guidelines for reclaiming Pakistani citizenship will soon be issued for those who had previously given it up in order to obtain German nationality.
Officials stressed that all formalities for this arrangement have been completed, highlighting strengthened bilateral ties between Pakistan and Germany.
