How would you feel if your employer gave you a generous cash reward? That would be nice, wouldn’t it? Nigerian billionaire Abdul Samad Rabiu is making headlines by rewarding loyalty in spectacular fashion, gifting $20.7 million in cash to his long-serving employees.
The Chairman of BUA Group recently approved a total of N30 billion (approximately $20.7 million) in cash rewards for dedicated employees during the BUA Night of Excellence Long Service Awards held last month.
In the annual ceremony, BUA Group honored its employees’ years of service, dedication, and contributions to the company’s growth.
During the event, cash awards were given at various levels within the organization. Five employees received N1 billion each, while another five were awarded N500 million apiece. Several others received N100 million, and dozens more were granted amounts between N5 million and N20 million, ensuring rewards were distributed across both senior and junior staff.
It is worth mentioning that BUA Group is involved in sugar refining, cement production (BUA Cement), edible oils, pasta, and real estate.
