The Bangladeshi air chief led a senior defence delegation during an official visit, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.
“The discussions focused on enhancing operational collaboration and institutional coordination, with particular attention on training, capacity development, and joint efforts in aerospace advancements,” the press release issued by ISPR said.

During the visit, the Bangladeshi air chief was received with a ceremonial guard of honour. Air Chief Marshal Sidhu briefed his counterpart on the Pakistan Air Force’s recent developments and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting the Bangladesh Air Force through a comprehensive training program, covering everything from basic flying courses to advanced and specialised training across PAF institutions.
He also promised the expedited delivery of Super Mushshak trainer aircraft, along with a full training and long-term support framework.
The Bangladeshi air chief praised the PAF’s combat achievements and expressed interest in leveraging its operational experience. He sought assistance with maintenance for Bangladesh Air Force’s older fleet and guidance on integrating air defence radar systems to strengthen surveillance capabilities.
The two sides also held detailed talks on the potential procurement of JF-17 Thunder aircraft, and the delegation visited key PAF facilities.
The visit highlighted the historical ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh and underscored a mutual commitment to deepening defence cooperation and fostering a long-term strategic partnership.
