Ghana police have taken action and arrested Ebo Noah, who had been claiming to be a prophet.
According to international media reports cited by GNN, the Ghana Police stated on their official website that Noah’s arrest is part of ongoing efforts to monitor cyber-related activities and curb statements or predictions that instill fear and panic among the public.
The police clarified that, at this stage, the specific allegations against Noah or the nature of his conduct have not been disclosed publicly.
Ebo Noah gained global attention in recent months when he constructed a large wooden boat-like structure and predicted that a catastrophic storm would strike the world on 25 December.
He urged the public to repent before the impending disaster. Videos of his boat and warnings attracted visitors from Ghana and other countries.
However, last week, Noah released a video stating that the predicted disaster did not occur, claiming that he had received a new divine revelation.
According to him, the people who came to seek refuge in the boat exceeded its capacity, and he requested more time to construct additional vessels.
