A fake message is circulating on social media in recent days, claiming to be an “important notice” related to Pakistan visa processing. The Pakistani Consulate in Los Angeles has issued a strong alert warning about this recent visa scam designed to collect sensitive personal and financial information
According to officials, the fraudulent notice falsely presents itself as an official consulate communication and directs individuals to submit details through unauthorized links.
The Pakistan Embassy in Washington has clearly said that the Consulate General has no connection with such unauthorized persons, agents, or organizations and will not be held responsible for any losses, delays, or negative outcomes resulting from engagement with them.
These scams are designed to steal critical data, including passport information, social security numbers, bank account details, and credit card information, which can later be exploited for identity theft, financial fraud, and other criminal activities.
The consulate has stressed that all Pakistani visa applications must be submitted exclusively through the official government portal at [https://visa.nadra.gov.pk](https://visa.nadra.gov.pk). Applicants were strongly advised to avoid third-party agents or unofficial websites, even if they promise quicker processing or special facilitation.
The consulate encouraged individuals to verify information through official channels and report suspicious messages or websites to the authorities.
