Following the successful acquisition of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), the Arif Habib Consortium has officially brought Fauji Fertilizer Company (FFC) on board as a strategic partner, according to local TV channels.
Representatives from the Arif Habib Group expressed optimism about the collaboration, noting that FFC’s involvement will play a crucial role in the national carrier’s recovery.
To spearhead this transformation, the consortium has committed an investment of Rs125 billion over the coming year.
Key objectives of the revival plan include
Fleet Expansion: Increasing the number of operational aircraft from 18 to 62.
Operational Modernization: Updating systems to improve efficiency and passenger service.
Employee Welfare: Creating better career opportunities and professional platforms for PIA staff.
The Arif Habib Group emphasized that their primary focus is to enhance the travel experience for passengers while providing a stable foundation for employees.
