A major fire erupted on Monday at a factory specializing in used clothing (Lunda) located within the Export Processing Zone (EPZ) in Landhi, Karachi.
The blaze, which started earlier today, quickly spread across the facility due to the highly flammable nature of the textile stock.

Rescue 1122 and fire brigade teams were immediately dispatched to the scene and are currently engaged in a massive operation to contain the flames.
No injuries or loss of life have been reported so far.
Thick clouds of black smoke can be seen billowing from the industrial area, visible from several kilometers away.
Firefighters are working to prevent the inferno from spreading to adjacent industrial units.
While the cause of the fire remains unknown.
