A tense verbal clash erupted between Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan and Senator Palwasha Khan during the Standing Committee on Communications meeting.
During the exchange, Abdul Aleem Khan told Palwasha Khan to “shut up,” and she responded, “You shut up.”
During the incident, Senator Pervaiz Rasheed attempted to calm both Palwasha Khan and Aleem Khan, but his efforts to mediate were unsuccessful.
Palwasha Khan asked, “Who are you to speak like this?” to which Abdul Aleem Khan replied, “If you show respect, we will respect you. You people point fingers at caste.”
Aleem Khan further remarked, “All the dishonest people of the world are gathered here.”
Palwasha Khan requested the committee chairman to issue a ruling on the minister’s rude behavior, questioning, “Is it a crime to mention the name of a private housing society? I just asked a question.”
After members began arguing among themselves, the committee chairman intervened, and Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan apologized following the chairman’s instructions.
