Gold prices in Pakistan climbed on Monday, tracking gains in the international market, while silver surged to a record high. In the local market, the price of gold per tola rose by Rs2,600 to Rs454,862.
Likewise, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs2,229 to Rs389,970, according to figures released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
This followed a decline on Saturday, when gold per tola had fallen by Rs2,000 to settle at Rs452,262.
In the international market, gold prices advanced by $26 to $4,325 per ounce, including a $20 premium.
Meanwhile, silver prices jumped by Rs68 to Rs6,532 per tola, marking a new all-time high.
It should be noted that the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) releases official gold rates at around 1 PM from Monday to Saturday.
