Gold prices in Pakistan fell on Saturday, reflecting a downturn in the international market. In the local market, the price of gold dropped by Rs2,300, bringing the per-tola rate to Rs442,162.
Likewise, the price of 10-gram gold slipped by Rs1,972, settling at Rs379,082, according to figures released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
A day earlier, on Friday, the per-tola price had risen by Rs3,000 to reach Rs444,462.
Internationally, gold prices fell by $23, reaching $4,198 per ounce (including a $20 premium).
Meanwhile, silver prices held steady at Rs6,072 per tola.
It should be noted that the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) releases official gold rates at around 1 PM from Monday to Saturday.
