Star Pakistan batter Babar Azam has equaled an unwelcome record, joining Umar Akmal and Saim Ayub for the most ducks (dismissals for zero runs) by a Pakistani player in T20 Internationals.
Babar Azam, who had played a crucial role in Pakistan’s 69-run victory over Zimbabwe on Sunday with a half-century, failed to repeat his performance in the final league match of the home T20I Tri-Series against Sri Lanka. He was dismissed for a duck, facing only two balls.

Babar Azam was trapped Leg Before Wicket (LBW) by a length ball from Dushmantha Chameera.
This was the 10th duck of Babar Azam’s T20I career, bringing him level with Saim Ayub and Umar Akmal, who also have 10 ducks each to their name.
The list of Pakistanis with the most T20I ducks continues with the former Pakistan captain and legendary all-rounder Shahid Afridi, who is fourth on the list, having been dismissed for a duck 8 times in his 98 T20I matches.
Kamran Akmal and Mohammad Hafeez follow closely with 7 ducks each.
