The Punjab Home Department has issued an extraordinary advisory aimed at strengthening peace and security across the province. The department has invited all institutions and the public to become “Partners in Peace.”
According to the advisory, unity, responsibility and public participation are essential for achieving the Safe Punjab Vision. No individual or organization will be allowed to engage in violence, lawlessness or acts that promote unrest.
The Home Department has also issued a dedicated WhatsApp number, 0311-4340000, inviting citizens to share security-related suggestions in writing. Officials stated that the Punjab government will carefully review all recommendations received from the public.
In case of any crime, identification of a suspect or an emergency situation, citizens have been advised to immediately contact 15.
The Home Department has directed all law enforcement agencies to remain on high alert. It has instructed that security and monitoring be ensured at educational institutions, hospitals, public places and religious sites.
The business community, market associations and industrial units have also been urged to extend full cooperation.
The advisory has been sent to the Inspector General of Punjab Police, secretaries, heads of federal institutions, and district officers. Heads of all public and private educational institutions have also been addressed, along with presidents of all Chambers of Commerce across Punjab, inviting them to join as “Partners in Peace.”
