Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza paid a farewell visit to the Army Headquarters (GHQ) and held a farewell meeting with Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir.
During the meeting, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza and Field Marshal Asim Munir discussed national security matters.
On the occasion, Field Marshal Asim Munir appreciated General Sahir Shamshad Mirza’s leadership and his tireless services for the armed forces.
Field Marshal Asim Munir stated that General Sahir Shamshad Mirza played a vital role in strengthening coordination among the three armed services, and under his leadership, joint operational preparedness and national security objectives became more streamlined.
Praising General Sahir Shamshad Mirza’s military services to the country as Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir added that General Mirza had a significant role in promoting regional stability, military diplomacy, and partnerships with friendly countries.
