After the crash of an Indian Tejas fighter aircraft at the Dubai Airshow, the shares of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) also declined.
On Friday, during the Dubai Airshow, India’s combat aircraft crashed while performing an aerobatic stunt.
The Indian Air Force confirmed the crash and the death of the pilot.
According to the Indian Air Force, the Tejas fighter jet went down at 2:10 pm local time.
The Air Force added that an inquiry board is being constituted to determine the cause of the accident.
Reports state that following the crash of the Indian Tejas fighter jet at the Dubai Airshow, HAL shares fell by more than 2.5%.
Indian media reported that the aircraft involved in the accident had been in service since 2016.
It is noteworthy that today was the fifth and final day of the Dubai Airshow; however, following the incident, the aerial displays for the final day have been temporarily halted.
