The Pakistan Stock Exchange on Tuesday witnessed heavy selling pressure in the late session, dragging the benchmark KSE-100 Index down by more than 750 points during intra-day trade.
By the close, the index stood at 160,935.13, down 752.05 points or 0.47%.
Pressure was evident across major sectors, including automobile assemblers, cement, commercial banks, fertilizers, and oil and gas exploration companies. Several index-heavy counters, such as MARI, OGDC, PPL, MCB, MEBL, NBP, and UBLn closed in negative territory.
On the macroeconomic front, Pakistan’s current account recorded a deficit of $112 million in October 2025, according to data issued by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

A day earlier, the PSX had opened the week on a cautious note, ending mixed as the market fluctuated between gains and profit-taking.
The benchmark index closed Monday at 161,687.18, marking a decline of 248.01 points.
