The International Cricket Council (ICC) has fined the Pakistan cricket team for maintaining a slow over rate during the first One-Day International (ODI) against Sri Lanka.
According to the ICC, the penalty was imposed following the first ODI of the three-match series played in Rawalpindi on November 11.
The ICC stated that Pakistan was fined 20% of their match fee for bowling four overs short of the required rate.

Pakistan captain Shaheen Afridi accepted the sanction imposed by the ICC.
It is worth mentioning that Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by six runs in the opening match of the series.
