After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in film and television production from the University of Southern California (USC), Aryan pursued a career behind the camera.
He made his debut as a showrunner, writer, and director with the web series The Bads of Bollywood***, which was released on Netflix in September 2025.
He is currently focused on his second directorial film, which is a big-screen venture scheduled to go on floors in 2026.
Reports indicate his third directorial project, planned for 2027, may feature his father, Shah Rukh Khan, in the lead role.
As a child, he appeared in a scene in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001). He also provided the Hindi voice dub for the character of Simba in Disney’s The Lion King (2019) and the prequel Mufasa: The Lion King (2024), alongside his father, who voiced Mufasa.

He has a younger sister, actress Suhana Khan, and a younger brother, Abram Khan.
In October 2021, Aryan was arrested in connection with an alleged drug case. After spending several weeks in custody, he was granted bail and eventually cleared of all charges in May 2022.
