Anushka Sharma is widely reported to be making her highly anticipated return to the screen after a significant hiatus, with her last major film role as an actress being in 2018’s Zero.

Chakda Xpress is a biographical sports drama about the life of Jhulan Goswami and her fight against gender bias to build a career in Indian women’s cricket.
The film is expected to premiere on the streaming platform Netflix, not in cinemas.

Although shooting for the film was completed in 2022, its release was significantly delayed due to creative disagreements and budget issues between the production house and Netflix.
Following the Indian women’s cricket team’s recent successes, there has been a renewed push to release the film, making it one of the most anticipated Bollywood comebacks.
The exact release date is still pending a final decision from Netflix.
