Pakistani citizens seeking employment abroad will now be required to register on the PakSkills platform. Without registration, a protector on the passport will not be issued.
The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis has introduced this measure to prevent human trafficking. The new requirement will take effect from November 19.
According to the Ministry, registration on the PakSkills app is free. Applicants seeking overseas jobs must provide complete personal information, including CNIC and passport numbers, educational qualifications, and details of the proposed overseas employment.
The Ministry emphasized that no protector will be issued without a PakSkills certificate. Officials hope this step will help reduce human trafficking and related risks associated with overseas employment.

Earlier, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) implemented a new rule for Pakistanis traveling abroad for employment, requiring them to present an affidavit signed by a senior government official of Grade 18 or 19.
This affidavit must confirm that the traveler intends to work only at the declared place of employment and will not attempt illegal entry into Europe.
