In various districts of Balochistan, earthquake tremors were felt late at night, with a magnitude of 5.0 recorded on the Richter scale, according to the Seismology Center.
According to the Seismology Center, the earthquake occurred at 2:45 a.m., and its tremors were felt in several areas including Ziarat, Harnai, Zardalu, Khost, Shaharg, Muslim Bagh, Khanozai, Kan Mahterzai, Rod Malazai, and Sarkhab.
Additionally, light tremors were also felt in some areas of the provincial capital, Quetta. However, no casualties or property damage have been reported due to the earthquake.
Eearlier in October, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reported mild earthquake tremors, felt in various parts of Karachi, with a magnitude of 2.2 on the Richter scale.
The depth of the earthquake was recorded at 10 kilometers, and its epicenter was located 24 kilometers north of the Defence Housing Authority (DHA). The Met Office reported that the tremors were felt at 3:39 p.m. on Friday afternoon.
