Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a significant increase on Monday, reflecting the impact of rising rates in the international market. These prices will remain effective until the release of new rates this afternoon.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs1,300 to reach Rs423,862.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs1,115 to Rs363,393. This increase came after a decline was observed over the weekend, when the per tola rate fell by Rs1,600 to Rs422,562.
A slight rise in gold prices was also seen internationally, where according to the Association, the per ounce price of gold in the global market increased by $13 to $4,015, which includes a $20 premium.
Silver prices also recorded an increase, with the per tola rate rising by Rs25 to Rs5,152.
Meanwhile, on the global level, gold prices remained stable on Monday as the strengthening of the US dollar and reduced expectations of a US Federal Reserve interest rate cut limited the upward momentum.
