The distribution of one lakh laptops to talented and intelligent students across the country under the Prime Minister Youth Program will begin today. A special ceremony will be held at the Jinnah Convention Center, Islamabad.
According to the details, online applications were invited for the laptop scheme under the Prime Minister Youth Program, lists of capable and intelligent youth were compiled by government and non-government universities on merit, and laptops will be given to one lakh students on merit.
The inaugural ceremony will be held today at the Convention Center, Islamabad; later, laptop distribution ceremonies will be held in the provincial capitals under the Prime Minister Youth Program.
In this regard, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan said that empowering the youth is the top priority of the government; in this context, facilities are being provided to the youth in other sectors, including education.
It should be noted that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had started a laptop distribution scheme during his premiership. So far, thousands of students across the country have gotten the laptop under the scheme.
